On the Malaysian front – Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Aziz has announced that the 2021 Budget will be unveiled on Nov 6 – with focus on 4 areas which are caring for the people, steering the economy, sustainable living and enhancing public service delivery.
Under the economy sector, key focus would be to ensure GDP growth in 2021, increasing FDI and consumer confidence.
Malaysia’s GDP is estimated to be in the range of 6.3 % to 7.5%. According to the Finance Minister, this projection will be subject to Malaysia’s continued success to manage Covid 19 as well as the economy’s recovery and growth.
