On the MYR front, it is anticipated that the current PM Muhyiddin Yassin could face a vote of no confidence in Parliament, which begins its session today, 13 July. The session was delayed from its initial date in May. Malaysia’s economy had long been viewed by investors as a rocky one – following the widely reported IMDB scandal involving previous PM, could suffer its impact should the newly sworn in PM Yassin does receive the no confidence vote.
