Great news for Bitcoin: Microsoft has revealed it's decision to construct a Decentralized internet with Bitcoin.

 #OPINIONLEADER# Microsoft is currently helping to build a technology that would give individuals ownership rights over their own virtual identities using Bitcoin. Thereby further enhancing a Decentralized exchange for Crypto.

The mission of the ION project is to build a Decentralized Identifiers, or DIDs, that will become an anchoring point for all activities across the internet. 

The purpose of this project is to further promote the goal of BITCOIN and Crypto currency which has been to eliminate the power of centralized institutions over money and allow individual own money without government restrictions. ION is trying to do the same thing with online identities.

To achieve this level of decentralization and immutability, ION is built on top of the shared database that has been used for recording Bitcoin transactions, which is known as the blockchain. Though Microsoft is contributing most of the work, the company would have no control over who participates in the system.

Daniel Buchner, a self-described libertarian, is the project lead for ION project. Following his discussions with Crypto billionaires and influencers during the Bitcoin 2021 conference in Miami. He described how this technology is set to usher in a new era of hyper-individualized online identity and privacy. 

This is a big positive news for Bitcoin strong enough to revive confidence among Crypto investors that a big institution as Microsoft is further lending support towards the security of Crypto assets and protection of the invidual identify.
