Morning market update 06 08 2021:
BoE was the primary event from yesterday with a slight hawkish tone on tapering seeing the GBP move higher and the DXY hold at around 92.20 to close off the US session with the initial jobless claims coming in very close to expectations. Currently RBA Governor Lowe is speaking as the AUDUSD trades over 0.7400 with a positive session for equity markets in the US. Tonight is going to be key to gain insights into the employment situation in the US and potentially some more pressure on the Fed to begin tapering earlier than expected. The US dollar trades side ways this week with a sensitivity present on this upcoming release, if meeting expectations it offers a nice opportunity for this 92.50 level on the DXY to be tested.
