USD/TRY vs EUR/USD: Same Platform, Completely Different Game 💱

Someone trading USD/TRY and someone trading EUR/USD are technically doing "the same thing." They're not, not even close.

EUR/USD moves in a way you can actually plan around. Tight spread, deep liquidity, the whole internet full of analysis on it. USD/TRY can gap 100+ pips overnight because of one government statement, and the swap alone can quietly eat a chunk of your account if you hold it more than a few days.

A pip isn't even worth the same across pairs, which trips people up constantly. $10 a pip on EUR/USD, standard lot. Roughly $6.90 on USD/JPY, because of how the Yen's priced. Nobody tells you this until you've already miscalculated a position size.

If EUR/USD feels "too basic" to you, that's kind of the point. It's basic because it's forgiving. Exotic pairs aren't more advanced, they're just less patient with mistakes.
